District election commissioner on Friday has barred Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman from holding rally in Dera Ismail Khan.
According to details, the decision was taken over continuous violation of election code of conduct.
It is to be mentioned here that the JUI-F was scheduled to visit Dera Ghazi Khan for rally at Baisakhi Ground on February 7.
Earlier in the day, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday had served a notice to Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s brother Zia-ur-Rehman over violation of election code of conduct during the second phase of local bodies polls in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
